Today, along with the cheering crowd and passionate music, the 40th sports meeting of BLCU kicked off formally. At the opening ceremony, international students dressed in respective national customs walked past the rostrum in line, with joyful and bright smile on their faces. It shows the one and only character of BLCU as a small United Nation.
At the opening ceremony, international student Oni as a representative shared his experience of his stay in BLCU during the covid-19, saying that he had witnessed China’s win against pandemic. Now, he is hoping for the pandemic to be brought under control across the world and also for overseas students to return to schools soon.
In the subsequent events, there were a lot of interesting and fun activities aside from the traditional running competitions, which greatly encouraged students to actively participate. Many international students also engaged in this event in every corner of our ground, following the principle of “friendship first, competition the next,” and thus everyone enjoyed the joy of breaking sweat and working as a team.
I believe we can meet with each other one day or another. Together, we run through the green grass freely and smilingly.
