Making Moon Cakes to Celebrate Mid-Auttumn Festival

On the afternoon of September 17th,2021, AIU held a series of  Mid-Autumn Festival celebration activities  of "Stuffing our longing for togetherness into the moon cake”, in theHande Pavillion”restaurant at the fifth floor of “Banquet Building of Uprightness”. The activity was host by the Department of International Student Affairs of Beijing Language and Culture University. AIU executed the venue-booking, logistics and organizing activities. 

In the beginning, the international students got to know the origin of the Mid-Autumn Festival and Chinese traditional stories by means of watching video.

Later, with the guidance of the master chef, the international students got familiar with the procedure of making moon cake, and made the traditional Cantonese moon cake with the stuffing of egg yolk ,bean paste ,strawberry and pineapple by their own hands, participating and feeling the joy of it.

While we waited for the moon cake to be baked, we also participated in the interactive part of fun games, making the waiting time no longer boring and making us get to know one aother more.

Finally, with the fresh-baked moon cake in hand, we gathered our joy in the aroma of hot moon cake, and we took pictures to remember this moment with our beautiful missing in the Mid-Autumn Festival.
