Getting a Feel for China through Pottery-making and Trips to Hutong

The AIU Cultural Experience event in 2020 will be a heart-warming return. It will be held on November 27 and 28, which let we us feel the culture of the Bell Tower Hutong in Beijing and experience the charm of traditional Chinese pottery making.

Shuttling between the Hutongs,

you can glance at all the past of Beijing.


Hutong, is one of the unique features of Beijing, is bearing the weight of the culture of Beijing memory. Every time you walk through the Hutongs; the pomp of the old Beijing seems to emerge in front of your eyes. The Drum Tower is located at the north end of Di'anmenwai Street in Beijing's Dongcheng District, which is a national key cultural relics protection unit. It has a long history and rich cultural background, where we will visit and feel the ancient style.

Painting mask in traditional Chinese operas

Facial makeup, a painting on the face of traditional Chinese opera actors, is used as a cosmetic and plastic art when performing on the stage. It is one of the important symbols of Peking Opera.

Hutong Culture: 1 PM on November 27th, 2020

Pottery Culture: 1 PM on November 28th, 2020

4.The participants should be international students who study in BLCU.

5.If you are unable to attend the activity after registration, please leave a message at the AIU WeChat public platform or contact the leader of your group.

6.More than two unexcused absences will affect the future application of AIU activities.
