Physical Check-up

1. International students must undergo a physical check-up in their country before arriving in China as prescribed in the Foreigner’s Health Certificate.

2. After registration, the university will help international students certify their physical check-up certificates issued in their country. Those who do not have the health certificate or have failed in some examination items will be required to undergo a physical check-up at Beijing International Travel Health Care Center (Haidian Branch). The health report is valid for 6 months.

3. International students may also go to the Beijing International Travel Health Care Center (Haidian Branch) for medical check-up or certification by themselves.

4. Students must pay for the physical check-up by themselves.

5. Relevant regulations about free physical check-up:

Since April 1st 2017, students who meet the following requirements are granted the free physical check-up:

Students with their physical check-up certificates issued by their country are eligible for the certification fee waiver. Those who have failed in some examination items can enjoy free physical check-up for corresponding items.

Students who will stay in China for one year or more can enjoy free physical check-up with the following documents:

Copy of the stamped admission notice, the period of schooling should be clearly stated on it and it must be more than one year;

Copy of the JW form with the stamp of the receiving unit, the period of schooling should be clearly stated on it and must be more than one year;

Copy of valid X1 visa.

Note: Students who will stay in China for one year or more than one year means their period of schooling is supposed to be more than one year. For example, the period from September 2018 to July 2019 is not considered to be one year.

Students who meet the above requirements must prepare the relevant documents in advance and can enjoy the free physical check-up. Those who do not meet the above requirements need to pay for the physical check-up by themselves.

6. International students should go to China's health and quarantine department to go through the confirmation procedures for Foreigner’s Health Certificate or physical examination following the provisions of China’s health administrative department. If it is confirmed by physical examination that the patient suffers from a serious mental disorder, infectious pulmonary tuberculosis or other infectious diseases that may invite significant harm to public health as stipulated in the Exit and Entry Administration Law of the People's Republic of China, the public security department shall deal with the case according to law.

Note:

1. Bring your passport, admission notice, application form for physical check-up and one 2-inched color front photo.

2. Do not eat anything (esp. spicy food) before the physical examination.

3. Bring your health report if you have already done the check-up in your country.

4. Fees: about 400 RMB.
