Notice on 2024 Summer Overseas Short-term Program for Chinese and Foreign Students of BLCU(II)

All Chinese and International Students,

In order to further enhance the opening level of the University's education, promote the cultivation of international talents, and provide students with high-quality international educational resources, the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange is now launching the 2024 Summer Short-term Overseas Exchange Program for Chinese and foreign students.

I. Basic Requirements for Candidates

1. Abide by the rules and regulations of Beijing Language and Culture University, with good academic records and good physical and mental status.

2. Officially registered Chinese and foreign students at BLCU.

II. Project Information:

Course times are subject to change, subject to final notification from the partner university. Please refer to the attached promotional materials for the course content.

III. Deadline for Registration

1.Student Application: Students should fill out the "Application Form for the 2024 Summer Overseas Short-Term Study Program" (see Attachment 1) and complete the "Letter of Commitment for Leaving Campus" (see Attachment 2, handwritten signatures required). These documents should be submitted electronically to their respective department (school or college) by April 9th, 2024.

2.Departmental Compilation: Departments (schools or colleges) will compile the student application information and submit the materials to the Department of International Student Affairs for review. Hard copies should be delivered to the Department of International Student Affairs (403A, Comprehensive Building) by April 10th, 2024.

3.Department of International Student Affairs Compilation and Review: The Department of International Student Affairs will review the materials and, once confirmed to be accurate, compile them for submission to the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange of the university.

Note: This is the first round of applications. For the deadline of each project and further information, please inquire with the respective application unit. Subsequent rounds of applications will be organized based on the deadlines of each project and the application situation.

Students who have been selected in the exchange program should add the QQ of the teacher of the International Department. The exchange program will build a QQ group. The QQ nickname of the student is changed to: 2024+ country + University name + (project name) + name, such as Li Jingjing from the University of Cambridge in 2024 Summer program.

V. Precautions

1. Our universities will decide whether to admit or not according to various factors such as the school's acceptance capacity and application qualifications, our school cannot guarantee that all applicants will be admitted eventually. If the program is cancelled, we will notify you separately.

2. Students who complete the program will receive transcripts or certificates. Whether the credits obtained can be converted into BLCU credits needs to be consulted with their respective departments.
