For the purpose of cultivating qualified Chinese language teachers and facilitating the promotion of Chinese language and culture, the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education set up the International Chinese Language Teachers (Confucius Institute) Scholarship to support qualified Chinese language teachers abroad. Confucius Institutes, independently set Confucius Classrooms, some Chinese test sites, educational institutions abroad, Chinese Teacher majors/departments of Chinese languages, Chinese teaching organizations abroad, Chinese embassies and consulates abroad, etc. can recommend outstanding students and in-service Chinese teachers to Chinese universities to further study Chinese international education and related majors.
